The Academy offers a
space for
discussion and reflection on various themes
related to
Church and society and
organises various programmes
and projects related to regional sustainable development,
spirituality and current political themes .Academy also
runs its own Centre for Application of Renewable
Energy Resources
and organises environmental programmes for secondary
schools, provides environmental consultancy for various Church
and ecumenical partner and helps them in developing
of their own environmental projects. An important part of
the work of the Academy concentrates on organising of
cultural events and exchanges
– namely related to icon exhibitions, choir singing and
documentary photography. Academy also organises annually
e. g. St.
Elias bike pilgrimages (20th
July), Days of prayers for preserving of God´s creation
(1st September) and some other events opened for
general public.
